“This weeding robot will save you time and energy removing weeds automatically."
Weed your garden with the press of a button
Tertill is the garden weeding robot. Created by the inventor of Roomba, Tertill lives in your garden, runs on sunshine, and weeds every day – so you don’t have to! Tertill keeps weeds from sprouting robotically, without spraying herbicides, hauling mulch, or putting down ugly plastic films.
A whole new way to weed
Tertill doesn't just kill weeds, it actually prevents them from growing. It has specially designed wheels that churn up the top layer of soil, keeping weeds from sprouting. If any weeds do grow, Tertill chops them down with its onboard string trimmer. Even if the weed sprouts again, Tertill will keep chopping it down until it gives up and dies. In an independent study, the Cornell School of Agriculture found Tertill's method of weeding as effective as hand weeding.
How does Tertill tell a weed from a plant?
Tertill has a very simple way for telling weeds from plants: weeds are short, plants are tall. A plant tall enough to touch the front of Tertill’s shell makes the robot turn away. A plant short enough to pass under Tertill’s shell activates the whacker string. For best results, Tertill should be placed in your garden at the beginning of the season before weeds have started to sprout, or right after weeding. Tertill comes with metal plant guards that can be placed around small plants or seeds until they get tall enough for the robot to sense them.
