Software Updates

We are continually improving the software that runs on Tertill, and make these updates freely available to our customers.  These are distributed via iOS and Android smartphone apps, and are easily installed on the robot via Bluetooth.

       

Release 1.6.7 (Released August 6, 2021)

  • Improvements to escape behavior to address cases where the robot would rock back and forth
  • Internal testing improvements

Release 1.6.6 (Released April 21, 2021)

  • Runs 10 minutes after a button press
  • Improved stall detection behavior
  • Improved charging performance
  • Improved behavior when robot is fully surrounded by obstacles
  • Tilt sensing threshold increased to 22 degrees
  • Added self-test behavior
  • Internal testing improvements

Release 1.1.0 (Released August 21, 2019)

  • Improve runtime/coverage area by being more clever about selecting where and when to stop to charge

Release 1.0.10 (Released August 10, 2019)

  • Reduce false infinite spin detection events.  The robot should stop left often with >= 70% State of Charge.
  • Internal changes including:
    • Modified power management to support testing
    • Testing logs are no longer truncated
    • Erasing all flash memory or odometer requires a password

Release 1.0.9 (Released July 3, 2019)

  • Improved handling of stalled wheels

Release 1.0.8 (Released June 10, 2019)

  • Improved handling of steep slope conditions, making the robot less likely to climb
  • Enter hold mode when the button is pressed while the robot is running
  • Improve performance during over temperature conditions
    • Robot will go from Patrol to Autocharge, or Hold to off, as appropriate
  • Prevent some robots from backing up a short distance when moving for the first time after powerup
  • Make the robot quieter: sounds only happen when the user presses the button, or the robot is turned upside down
